The Columbia Engineered Hardwood story starts in the forest. We
begin by selecting only the finest grades of hardwoods. Then
experienced craftsmen, using the most modern, state-of-the-art
equipment, take this gift from nature and produce a floor of lasting
beauty.
Each board is constructed with top and bottom layers of select
hardwood, bonded under optimum heat and pressure. The grain of each
ply is set at a 90-degree angle to the next. This cross-directional
construction resists the natural inclination of wood to expand and
contract with seasonal changes in temperature and humidity,
preventing unsightly expansion
openings. |
 Next, the tongues and grooves are precisely
milled to produce a tight, exact fit. The result is a stronger bond
between planks that stands up better to your family's daily
activity. Finally, nine layers of stain and finish are applied. These
produce the rich, warm hues and powerful durability that make
Columbia Engineered Hardwood Floors so unique.

to Install
Columbia Engineered Hardwood Floors can be installed anywhere in
your home, below, on or above grade. And depending on the
application, they can be glued, stapled or nailed over most
subfloors. |
